What sets the Cyclatone apart from other exercise products?
- Adjusts to and fits individual user rather than person needing to adjust
to machine. (Includes height, length of extremity, weight and individual body
compromises resulting from injury or disease challenges.)
- Allows for passive movement of weak or inactive extremities by active
movement of stronger extremity using Cyclatone interlocking foot and arm
pedals. (One strong arm can move weak arm and weak or inactive feet and vice
versa.)
- Bidirectional in operation and resistance. (Exercises and strengthens
reciprocal muscle groups in forward and reverse directions plus minimal and
maximum resistance effort.)
- Multi-directional in setup and can easily be converted to rowing machine
motion.
- Combined multi-adjustable features plus optional user positions. (Sitting
positions, including stable seating to most wheelchairs, plus standing
positions for targeted upper body movement.)
- Unilateral as well as bilateral applications with quiet smooth cycling
movement for both upper and lower extremities.

What is the difference between active and passive modes in using the Cyclatone?
The manual machine mode is featured in both the Basic
Model LVM-1518 and the
Motorized Model KSA-7781. To use manual mode when using
the Motorized Model, simply don't activate the motor, and the movement will be
the same as the Basic Model. (It is like having two machines for the price of
one!) The resistance adjustment is designed for use only when in the manual
machine mode to minimize wear and tear on the motor.
The active mode occurs in two ways:
- The user actively moves both upper and lower pedals with their own muscle
strength; or
- By using a stronger extremity, the other weak or inactive extremities are
passively assisted through normal movement patterns.
The passive mode for a physically challenged person with upper and lower
body weakness or limitations, is the focus of the Motorized
Model KSA-7781. With the use of secure boots, handgrips
with wrist protectors, and dual shutoff safety switches, the user can safely
enjoy passive movement at variable speeds in both forward and reverse
directions.
Both active and passive modes are accomplished by the linkage
between the upper and lower crank mechanism and the use of a single flywheel.
A user can enjoy active and passive movement simultaneously from positions that
accommodate their individual body differences. These multi-adjustable features
are unique to the Cyclatone Custom Fitness Machine.
